Job Description:

BaSE Systems Engineer will be responsible for the adherence of Electrical PLC and HMI standards across automated projects. The job responsibilities include the record retention of, communication of, and resolution of items found out of compliance. The Level 3 engineer will collaborate with internal business partners, material-handling vendors, conveyor manufacturers, electrical control manufacturers and consultants to ensure compliance with UPS standards, and safety regulations. In addition, the Level 3 engineer will be scheduled and responsible for providing remote electrical troubleshooting support to local UPS facilities. This position requires 100% travel.

Knowledge and Skills

· UPS Electrical Standards: Demonstrates a strong understanding of UPS Electrical standards and recommends appropriate actions for resolution. Able to understand and UPS Electrical drawings for the assurance of standard adherence.

· Vendor/Supplier Management: Demonstrates a broad understanding of UPS and vendor business needs and goals; reviews and recommends appropriate vendors based on business needs to internal stakeholders; provides input into the creation of vendor contracts or agreements; communicates expectations to vendors

· Detail oriented with the ability to distinguish between “big picture” concepts and detailed facts, while ensuring tasks are completed accurately and with an appropriate level of detail to impact end goals

· Excellent written and oral communications, and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with both internal and external partners.

Specific Software/Application experience

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams and Outlook)

Basic Qualifications:

· Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer

· Employer will not sponsor a visa for this or future positions

· Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself

· Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree) or be a current UPS employee with three years of UPS experience

· Must have a flexible travel schedule (weekends and non-business hours included)

· Must have experience with designing solutions for process improvement

Internal Salary Grade: 20E

Compensation/Benefits

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US

geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from

$69,180/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,220/year in our

highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including

but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job

related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate’s

work experience. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short

term and/or long term incentive compensation programs depending

on the level of the position. Payments under these annual programs

are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors

including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit

performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan.

This position is eligible for a bonus based on company performance.
