PAYROLL BUSINESS SUPPORT ANALYST – Processing Team

JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for supporting centralized payroll functions for employees, vendors, and internal and external customers across the organization. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analyzing large time and pay data sets, legal withholdings, military differential calculations, understanding and interpreting discrepancies in the data, manual pay calculations, and processing payroll related transactions.
This position is responsible for researching, resolving and responding to payroll related inquiries while providing excellent customer service. This position provides additional support for system issues, system upgrades, and regression testing.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Job Experience and Education
Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Business, Communications, Information Systems or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years' work experience in payroll, technology or customer service
Oracle HCM(Cloud), Payroll, Time and Labor strongly desired
Experience with interpreting benefit policies related to time entry desired.
Experience with applying Labor laws, including the Fair Labor Standards Act desired.
Experience processing and analyzing legal documents and pay practices.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with other teams within Payroll Services, HR Service Center, and other organizations across the system to in order to achieve time sensitive deadlines.
Ensure the accurate and timely processing of team reports and payroll functions.
Operate in compliance with federal, state, and company guidelines.
Participate, as part of a team, in job rotation/rotating roles
Provide process and system support.
Utilize effective communications and networking to maintain a team environment.
Assist with payroll calls, payroll processing email box, and cases assigned in ServiceNow!
Answering inquiries from employees, management, and internal/external business partners
Perform other payroll related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of payroll, timekeeping, and HR systems – as well as vendor systems and interfaces
Ability to handle multiple tasks, processes and projects timely and accurately.
Proficiency required in desktop applications including Microsoft Office
Cross-functional collaboration with business partnersMust possess excellent customer service skills along with the ability to anticipate problems or concerns and demonstrate a strong track record of effectively resolving complex problems and responding in a timely manner.
Must be analytical, detail oriented, process driven, and comfortable with a highly structured team environment.
Ability to successfully deal with challenging customers and support difficult situations while delivering exceptional customer service is a key attribute of this position.
Willing to work weekends and excess straight time as needed.
