Job Description:

The Compliance & Ethics Program Senior Manager develops and maintains compliance controls including a comprehensive compliance policy and procedure framework and a tailored, risk-based training and awareness program to ensure that policies and procedures are integrated into all global UPS entities. The Program Senior Manager leads a team of Compliance & Ethics professionals and reports to the Director Global Compliance Operations. The Compliance & Ethics Program Senior Manager plays a pivotal role in designing and enhancing UPS’ compliance prevention and detection controls.

Responsibilities

  • Manages Policies and Procedures for all Corporate Compliance & Ethics programs in close cooperation with program owners and stakeholders

  • Leads Corporate Compliance & Ethics programs including the Code of Conduct and Ethics, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Antitrust/Fair Competition and Records Information Management

  • Governs the third party due diligence (3PDD) program in close collaboration with the Corporate Compliance & Ethics Liaisons

  • Designs computer based trainings on Corporate Compliance programs tailored to the risk exposure of the audience in UPS business units;

  • Leads the development and implementation of awareness programs including employee communication material related to the compliance programs

  • Manages the ‘UPS Compliance Hub’ website to drive awareness on Corporate Compliance & Ethics policies and collateral

  • Engages with various internal stakeholders for example Corporate Legal, M&A, HR, Finance & Accounting, Procurement, Communications, Engineering to keep the policy and procedure framework current

  • Executes Compliance Due Diligence for UPS’ global M&A activity, develops appropriate integration plans and tracks successful implementation

  • Responds to compliance inquiries and attestation requests from UPS customers

  • Provide guidance and strategic advice to all functional areas on ethics and compliance-related matters

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Compliance, Business or related field

  • Juris Doctor (JD) preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Compliance, Internal Audit or Legal positions

  • Experience in third party compliance management

  • Compliance relevant certifications (for example CCEP, CFE, IAPP, CIA) are beneficial

  • Strong understanding of compliance regulations and requirements

  • Experience working in a global organization

  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees in all hierarchical levels of the company

  • Effective people management and collaboration skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
