Job Purpose and Impact
The Data Governance Lead will provide strategic leadership to develop, deploy and maintain value-driven governance strategies and processes. In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally to define and drive data governance practices, create and enforce policies and processes, and establish disciplines across the data supply chain to ensure consistency, security, quality, and reliability.
Key Accountabilities
Partner with key stakeholders including data privacy, technology governance, risk & compliance, HR, business data teams and others to bring data governance maturity to how we work, serve as the advocate, thought leader and change agent to bringing teams together.
Define & operationalize a federated data governance framework that allows extended teams to reuse frameworks while also providing space for localized prioritization & application to make data management and governance efforts most sustainable.
Champion a culture of data as a strategic asset and provide frameworks in the implementation of value driven governance disciplines; lead the definition and solutioning for competency frameworks, proficiency evaluations, and education tracks for upskilling.
Maintain visibility with enterprise and senior leadership on the status and progress of data governance activities, increasing understanding of risk exposure and mitigating plans.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of six years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of five years in a data leadership position
Broad knowledge of data, data management, and governance
Experience defining and operationalizing data governance and/or security programs
Experience with authoring policies and enforcement via auditing
Experience leading teams without direct oversight, via influence
