Director, Business Development and Strategy

What does a successful Director, Business Development and Strategy do at Fiserv?

As a Director, Business Development and Strategy, you are a self-starter and will be driving a strategic data driven transformation by leveraging our unique position as an industry leader and our ability to capitalize on our data. You are a leader who is naturally inquisitive, can readily move between the complex world of data, analytics and insights and are able to bridge the use of information in a business context.

What you will do:

  • Partner with the Data Commerce Solutions Leader to identify and grow new partner channels for new and existing services.

  • Manage relationships with focus on driving new revenue.

  • Develop and maintain a strategic territory plan that is aligned with overall objectives and serve as advocate to both internal stakeholders and external partners.

  • Grow revenues by helping Commercial partners power their client solutions with Fiserv’s capabilities.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations and IT to ensure delivery and implementation of commercial solutions that address Voice of Customer.

  • Forecast revenue and unit projections to the business.

  • Conduct proactive gap analysis to identify risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to sales leadership on how to best address.

  • Travel 60% or more (minimum 3 days/week).

What you will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.

  • 11+ years of experience in data and analytics solutions in roles such as data monetization, business development, sales or product management.

  • Knowledgeable in leveraging data and insights for Fraud, Credit Risk and Marketing use cases and developing presentations.

  • Experience managing a substantial revenue stream and customer base.

  • Experience developing commercial strategies and deal structures, bringing new products to market and driving change management across a Field organization.

  • Experience with partner onboarding and management in a regulated environment.

  • Proficiency in influencing multiple stakeholders both internally and externally.

What would be great to have:

  • Master’s degree

  • 5+ years of experience in financial services.

  • Experience in subscription revenue environment and working independently with a high degree of ambiguity.
