UPS Internal Accounting Controls Intern in Atlanta, Georgia

The Corporate Global Accounting Department is seeking an Intern for Summer 2023. If you're a college junior or senior, or recent graduate within the last 24 months, majoring in Finance, Accounting, or related field, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Completes self-assessment testing and documentation of account reconciliations, both SOX and non-SOX, in the Global Accounting Centers (GAC) timely

  • Conducts Business Process Reviews (BPR) and documentation of GAC financial processes

  • Reviews Service Level Agreement (SLAs) to ensure compliance

  • Utilizes financial systems (Oracle GL, Oracle Business Intelligence OBI, BlackLine, etc.)

Knowledge and Skills

  • Flexible with ability to adapt quickly to changing paces and responsibilities

  • Possesses strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (GAAP)

  • Microsoft Office experience

  • Ability to work 30-40 hours per week
