Job Overview:

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to join our team at Le Petite Chef, a fine dining establishment. As the first point of contact for guests, the Host/Hostess plays an integral role in delivering a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a seamless dining experience. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, with excellent communication skills and a passion for providing top-tier service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greeting and Seating Guests: Welcome guests with a warm smile, manage reservations, and seat guests promptly.

  • Reservation Management: Assist with managing the reservation system and ensure accurate seating arrangements.

  • Guest Relations: Address guest inquiries, resolve concerns, and ensure a positive experience throughout their visit.

  • Managing Wait Times: Notify guests of wait times and keep them informed about the status of their table.

  • Support Front-of-House Operations: Work closely with servers and management to ensure smooth operation of the dining room.

  • Maintain Cleanliness and Organization: Keep the host stand and waiting area clean and organized.

  • Provide Information: Offer guests menu and drink details as needed and inform them about daily specials.

  • Upselling: Suggest menu items or drinks based on guest preferences.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a host/hostess or customer service role, preferably in a fine dining environment.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Professional appearance and grooming.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
