You will:
Perform complex mechanical and electronic repairs of all industrial equipment including automated conveyor systems and controls, sortation machines, robotics and other Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical problems related to all site specific MHE which includes belt/pulley systems, hydraulic and pneumatic components, motors, photo-eyes, relays, drive assemblies, limit switches, proximity sensors, and solenoids.
Respond to equipment break down or emergency situations with urgency and expediency.
Complete preventative maintenance according to TQM and vendor operating standards.
Evaluate and assesse equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner.
Utilize the CMMS system to develop and maintain accuracy of Work Order related data to include User Setup, Employees, Shifts, Crews, and Supervisors.
Manage the CMMS system to adding equipment to PM Plans, Schedules, and Work Packages.
Support management in the review of WO Data accuracy such as; Equipment on WOs, Booked Hours (Employee and Vendors), parts usage, WO type, closing codes and WO Comments.
Assist management in the scheduling and assigning of work. Manage work orders in the system, ensure proper creation, planning, update and closure of work orders.
Develop and maintain accuracy of spare parts metadata by regularly collecting and inputting information, such as; supplier, catalog number, min/max quantities, pricing, manufacturer, and part numbers.
Communicate and/or escalate serious equipment issues to the Maintenance Manager.
Study, review and utilize vendor technical manuals, publications or updates, as needed, to remain familiar with all changes or modifications to equipment.
Train, assist and guides other site technicians.
Utilize inventory, pm schedule and work order systems, and maintains the spare parts/supply inventory.
Evaluate and assess equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner.
Perform all additional duties as required.
As a Lead Onsite Maintenance Technician, you have:
3+ years minimum experience trouble-shooting and repairing complex electro mechanical and automated industrial distribution and production equipment preferred.
3+ years familiarity servicing mailing equipment, conveyer machines, PLC systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, pulleys or any other industrial types of electro mechanical production equipment.
3+ years’ minimum experience with Motor Control systems (motor starts, servo drives, variable frequency drives (VFD), and AC/DC drives).
3+ years’ industrial 120v/480v electrical experience wiring motors/panels, PLC systems, tracing blown fuses, and running conduit/power lines preferred.
Ability to troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) programs and modify software programs for material handling control systems, including Allen Bradley Controllogix and Compactlogix PLC platform utilizing RSLogix 5000 software package and Siemens Solutionline/Poweline drives.
An AA degree in Industrial Technology, Electronics, Computer Science or related field of study is preferred.
Ability to use a multi-meter, read and interpret schematics, charts, service manuals and parts diagrams.
1+ years of experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
1+ years of experience using a computer maintenance management system (CMMS) in planning, scheduling, and auditing overall facilities/maintenance activities.
Excellent problem solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems, read schematics, establish priorities, and work under deadline pressures.
The ability to lift up to 50 lbs., walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodations.
