HD Supply Lead SAP Application Engineer in Atlanta, Georgia

Required Qualifications

  • Significant experience in SAP Sales and Distribution, 2-3 implementation, and experience in AMS Support for multiple clients in OTC (SD).

  • Ability to lead design and configuration and work with junior team members.

  • Hands-on skills in SAP SD E2E OTC Design configuration and integration with other SAP modules

  • Must have experience utilizing SAP ERP (SAP ECC), SAP S/4 HANA, including design and configuration of SAP OTC (Order-To-Cash) functions and integrations.

  • Back Order Processing/ATP (Available To Promise)

  • Experience in various facets of SD module Sales Order Management, Pricing, Process & Shipping/Logistics Management & Billing.

  • Functions, Pricing, Shipping and Billing Processes, Solid experience in understanding and translating the business requirements into functional specifications, suggest process improvements techniques, and delivering the functionality, design, and implementation as per the Business Requirements.

  • Expertise in SAP OTC (SD) flow process, output determination.

  • Pricing routines, Tax calculation, Custom tables, Custom transactions, and custom programs development and enhancements as per the Business requirement.

  • ALE Idoc's, interface experience, workflow, output control, schedule lines, fabrication process, Third party process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field plus 8 years of work experience in offered or similar position analyzing and translating business information into technical requirements.

  • Up to 20% domestic travel required.

Job Summary

Designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs advanced software systems and application programs for the organization. Leads functional projects and provides training and guidance to application engineers.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Evaluates, researches, and recommends software application upgrades, patches, and new functionalities.

  • Assists management in the design and implementation of new applications, including consulting with functional architects on application design.

  • Works with stakeholders to perform application functionality gap analyses and feasibility studies for application enhancements.

  • Develops and documents complex and in-depth technical design specifications to meet business needs identified through application requirements, user stories, support tickets, and test defects.

  • Delegates tasks to application engineers and provides training and guidance on the design and development of software enhancements.

  • Leads the development of test plans and scripts for functional, performance, regression, and user acceptance testing.

  • Analyzes applications for compliance with security protocols and audit controls.

  • Reviews and resolves escalated incidence management activities.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 8+ years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 5+ years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.
