How You’ll Make an Impact:

This role reports into the Director or VP of Merchandising, has 2-3 direct reports and is based in our Buckhead office in our onsite work environment.

  • 40% SBU Strategy:

  • Partner with VP of Merchandising to build and drive Baby strategy for all channels

  • Hindsight business to determine future strategy

  • Build line plan to support the global product assortment needs for the specified brands

  • Partner with Design, PDC, Sales/Planning, Operations, and other merchant partners to ensure strategies are clearly communicated

  • Lead business and creative decisions for final assortment with Design, Art and PDC

  • Key liaison with cross functional partners on assortment, visual and pricing strategies

  • 20% Store Visual & site Direction:

  • Lead development of store blueprints, pre-season marketing calendar and guide site priorities

  • React to change in season to drive sales

  • 10%: Brand/CRI Strategy & Projects:

  • Support product strategy development including driving many milestone meetings and executing product development calendar

  • Partner with VPs and other merchants to build and drive total CRI strategic vision

  • 10%: Costing, Pricing, Margin Management:

  • Drive achievement of category margin and revenue goals based on financial plans

  • Maintain awareness of competition relative to product value relationship and customer profitability within category

  • 10% Process/System Management: Build processes to support team calendar and systems

  • 10% Team Development:

  • Lead individual contributors and managers

  • Lead cross-functional team

  • Coach, develop and mentor others outside of direct team

We’d Love to hear from you if:

Must have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • 8+ Years of Experience in retail buying or merchandising position; experience developing a line structure is critical

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience partnering with Sales Team to influence and sell in a line to a wholesale partner

  • Strong aesthetic point of view and the ability the translate to our brands as demonstrated through experience successfully building a line structure

  • Strong knowledge of retail metrics to effectively analyze results across channels and markets

  • Demonstrated ability to balance multi-channel and/or multi-account calendar and line structure development simultaneously

  • Experience working with design, sourcing, product development, tech design, and other cross-functional partners

  • Ability to lead and develop talent

  • Well-developed presentation skills needed to present to senior level executives and key accounts

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
