Job Description
The Senior Financial Consultant plays a crucial role in providing information, analyses, and consultation to both internal and external stakeholders. This position is responsible for evaluating the total cost performance of benefits, products, and services, and developing recommendations for improvements or enhancements to support Prime Therapeutics and client strategic goals. A key aspect of this role is building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. The Senior Financial Consultant proactively anticipates client needs, identifying opportunities for improvement and addressing potential challenges before they arise. Additionally, this position will maintain and develop analytical models and work closely with Prime's Strategic Business Units (SBUs) to drive client success
Responsibilities
Delivers comprehensive client trend analysis, modeling, and consultation
Consults with and presents analysis outcomes to account teams, Health Plan and Employer group clients, and cross-functional partners, including Supply Chain, Underwriting, and product owners
Collaborates with Health Plans to support Fully and Self-Insured groups, using KPIs and financial insights to drive sales and retention. Regularly engages with internal and client decision-makers—monthly, quarterly, and as needed—to discuss PBM economics, explore opportunities, and develop strategies for industry trends and market events
Partners with SBUs to provide total cost management; analyzes complex trend drivers, financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reports; provides recommendations with SBU partners to drive comparative selling, product adoption and trend management
Provides benefit design solutions; collaborates with SBU's to enhance modeling, reporting and methodologies
Proactively promote cost savings by advocating Prime's products and solutions to ensure strong member and client experience
Engages in additional Enterprise workstreams and initiatives, potentially presenting them to Senior Leadership
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Finance, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required
5 years of experience in pharmacy benefits management, reporting and analytics, benefits consulting, healthcare, financial services or related field
Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications
Must possess strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate exemplary verbal and written communication abilities
Intermediate experience using analytic tools, including SAS and SQL programming, Excel, and Tableau
Advanced troubleshooting skills, including in-depth client data research, focusing on trend drivers
Subject matter expert in one or more areas within the industry (pharmacy trend, health plan benefits, etc.)
Ability to coach and mentor others
Preferred Qualifications
Pharmacy Benefit Management experience
Experience conducting complex analysis on large sets of pharmacy, claims, medical, and/or financial data
Previous experience in a client facing, consultative role
Project/program management experience
Physical Demands
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Potential pay for this position ranges from $81,000.00 - $138,000.00 based on experience and skills.
