BAE Systems, Electronic Systems is currently recruiting for a Director, Supply Chain in support of ourCountermeasures and Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA)Business Area. This position will oversee Supply Chain operationsin a business area withmultipleproduct linelocations insouthernNew Hampshire, Alabama, Hawaii, and Texas. TheCEMABusiness Area designs and manufactures state-ofthe-artnext-generation threat detection, countermeasure, and attack solutions that provide customers with full-spectrum electronic warfare capabilities to enhance mission survivability.

The Director of Supply Chain will lead the procurement, subcontracts,planning, and logisticsteams of the Business Area. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge ofsupply chainprocesses,experience with complex supplier contracting arrangements,a strong level of business acumen, and experience leading a team of supply chain professionals in a growth environment. The Director will lead the implementation of advanced sourcing, supplier management, supply chain risk reduction and material planning strategies through the supply chain value stream from strategic capture through development and production.The successful candidate will be expected to drive progressivesupply chain approachesto support the growth of the business, and to meet or exceed business area and functional goals and objectives. This senior position collaborates regularly with other internal senior leaders from programs, manufacturing operations, engineering, quality, finance, contracts, and externally with supplier leadership.

Accountable for the integrated supply chain management ofa staff of 135 employees, overseeing$250-$300 million in material revenues annually, the role reports to the ElectronicsSystemsSector Vice President,Supply Chain.Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Overseeing all aspects of Business Area supply chain operations acrossprocurement, subcontracts, planning, and logistics

  • Developing and executing supply chain strategies aligned with company objectives, including but not limited to, inventory management, procurement, and production planning

  • Elevating the capabilities of the supply chain team and its interactions with other functions to deliver on operational and financial goals

  • Collaborating with supplier leadership, driving strategic partnerships, particularly with major subcontract partners,and ensuringdelivery of contracted requirements

  • Monitoring market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to anticipate potential risks and opportunities to the business

  • Providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the supply chain team,promotinga culture of innovation and accountability

  • Being an integrated member ofthe Business Area Leadership Teamin the general management of the business area, and in fostering a positive organizational culture

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following capabilities:

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Related Bachelor's Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience in supply chain or operations management

  • 5 years in a highly regulated manufacturing industry

  • Experience leading geographically diverse teams

  • Experience with complex contracting arrangements such as subcontracts, teaming agreements, long term supply agreements, etc.

  • Strong presentation skills, capable of briefing at all levels of the organization

  • Familiarity with key elements of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)

  • Familiarity with supply chain management software and systems such as SAP or Oracle

  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 30%

  • Candidate must currently possess a DoD Secret clearance.

  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • 10 years experience in an Aerospace and Defense manufacturing environment

  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (APICS, CSCP)

  • Certification in Project Management, or equivalent experience

  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and systems

  • Strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)

  • Existing Secret or Top Secret clearance

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $151300 - $257200

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
