The Opportunity

The Manager of Business Intelligence and Analytics position works onsite at our Austin, TX location in the Medical Device division. As the Manager of Business Intelligence and Analytics, you will lead and manage the team responsible for reporting and analytics within the Enterprise Accounts organization.

The successful candidate in this position must be a trusted business partner and enabler, who demonstrates mastery in all aspects and phases of business intelligence, including data procurement, data modeling, reporting, and other related processes and tools. They will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in reporting, appropriate security for access, and integrity in the underlying data that feeds business intelligence reporting. This position requires strong leadership capabilities, an executive presence, and the ability to engage in meaningful dialogue that helps define the true underlying needs of the business.

What You'll Work On

Business Intelligence

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of BI reports and dashboards for sales team and internal operations team.

  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementation and documentation of processes to validate underlying source data.

  • Manage user access and security for BI tools and reports.

  • Implement quality controls.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytics needs and deliver actionable insights.

  • Develop and enforce BI best practices, standards, and processes.

  • Monitor and optimize the performance of BI systems and tools.

  • Liaise with IT to facilitate support for troubleshooting, technical requirements, and other interactions that support business needs

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in BI technologies.

Project Management

  • Manage prioritization of projects to ensure alignment with business objectives and optimization of team capacity and resources.

  • Manage pipeline of reports and tools being developed and managed by the team.

  • Manage allocation of people resources across projects and other required tasks.

Coaching

  • Lead and manage the Business Intelligence team, providing guidance, training, mentorship, and support.

  • Ensure project team adheres to philosophy and culture of continuous improvement mindset with quality focus.

  • Generate ideas and continuously work to improve team efficiency, effectiveness, and impact.

  • Motivate and coach the team to reach goals and achieve deliverables.

  • Facilitate collaboration around best practices throughout the organization.

Minimum Experience/Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in a Business Intelligence or Data Analytics role, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership position.

  • Strong knowledge of BI tools (primarily Power BI) and data warehousing concepts.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with data governance and data quality management.

  • Experience navigating large organizations and an understanding of complex stakeholder relationships is a must .

  • Strong leadership skills and a passion for translating findings into strategic recommendations.

  • Demonstrated ability to assess customer/client needs, creatively approach solutions, decide, and influence appropriate courses of action.

  • Ability to look at a set of needs across the business and identify key questions, themes, and potential for business impact.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field.

  • Experience with cloud-based BI solutions and big data technologies.

  • Knowledge of SQL and other data querying languages.

  • Commercial experience and/or healthcare experience considered a plus.

The base pay for this position is $111,300.00 – $222,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
