We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Product Engineer to join our team. As a Product Engineer, the candidate would support the build and test of products from sub-assemblies to box-level end-items in the production factory as well as the repair depot. In this role, the candidate must demonstrate a strong technical aptitude, a focus on quality, good communication skills, and be able to work cross-functionally within the operations organization and with other disciplines/functions. This position includes the following activities:

  • Support the assembly, test, and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical assemblies, modules, and sub-assemblies, working directly with hardware and design engineering personnel as required.

  • Create rework plans for factory fallout.

  • Interface with Engineering, Quality, and other supporting functions to drive defect resolution to root cause.

  • Generate and implement improvements in product and test design and develop methodologies to reduce cost, increase yield, and improve throughput.

  • Monitor Quality data for trends and outliers and report regularly to the team.

  • Feedback lessons learned to the design teams for continuous improvement.

  • Generate and review the technical content of test procedures, drawings, engineering specifications, reports, Engineering Change Orders, and other documentation.

  • Interface with governmental customers, auditors, and suppliers as required.

  • Provide training and support to manufacturing personnel.

  • Support relocation of manufacturing equipment and test equipment between manufacturing sites and lead transition to production.

  • Support Root Cause and Corrective Action activities.

  • Identify, Create, and Implement Engineering Change Orders on products as required.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • BS Engineering Degree

  • 4 years working in a production manufacturing environment

  • Experience using metrics and data to drive actions.

  • Proven track record of solving complicated production issues and/or driving yield improvements.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • 6 years experience working with electro-mechanical assemblies in a transition to production and/or product sustainment role

  • Experience supporting a repairs / depot factory

  • Completed Green belt six sigma training

  • Root Cause Corrective Action problem solving experience and training

  • Experience with New Product Introduction and product transition to manufacturing

  • IPC-A-610 Certification

  • Secret Clearance

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
