Job Description

New hires in office-based roles in the US & Puerto Rico will be required, subject to applicable law, to demonstrate that they have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or qualify for a medical or religious exemption to this vaccination requirement that can be accommodated without an undue burden to the operation. In April 2020, our Company announced plans to consolidate our New Jersey campuses into a single New Jersey headquarters location in Rahway, NJ by 2023. Therefore, this role will be temporarily based in a and exact timing of the departmental move to Rahway, NJ will be communicated at a future date.

The Senior Specialist, Digital Data Library, Global Knowledge Management within the Human Health Insights, Analytics and Data organization, will assist the Knowledge Management team in standing up the best-in-class commercial digital data library to increase the knowledge, awareness, dissemination, utilization, and insight creation of HHIAD commercial data assets. This position manages plans & timelines, performs user acceptance testing, maintains SOP and other process/tool documentation related to the commercial data knowledge management digital data library projects.

This role will assist with matrix-management of a team of personnel in the coordination of various knowledge management standards from conception to completion. Direct communication is expected with other members of HHIAD, business stakeholders, IT personnel, Collibra sponsor, procurement, countries/region data & analytics with stakeholders and other key personnel. This position will also work directly with external vendors to develop new metadata gathering processes as well as implement ongoing operational metadata ingestions processes.

Key assignments include and are not limited to the following:

  • Provide technical and administrative sponsorship in the setup of knowledge management processes & tools to ensure transparency of internal and third-party data, insights, and offerings to internal stakeholders

  • Provide consultative partnership, engaging with the knowledge management team, contracting team, IT, Collibra team, internal stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure the capture and reporting of the appropriate metadata

  • Promote the development of the knowledge management library by compiling, managing, and updating centralized storage of commercial data vendor, offering and asset metadata

  • Perform user acceptance testing and assist with hyper care for knowledge management tool development and releases

  • Manage backlog of run-the-business knowledge management system maintenance updates/fixes

  • Document standard operating procedures and guidance documentation of knowledge management processes

  • Manage processing and audit of vendor offering RFI (request for information) templates

  • In association with Knowledge Management team members, develop process control and training documentation on new system capabilities

  • Working alongside IT & KM team, develop and manage a reporting system on the KPI metadata of commercial data

Additional assignments include and are not limited to the following:

  • Partner with the contracting team members, legal, procurement and IT to develop and drive adoption of a centralized contracting management tool

  • In partnership with team members, develop process control and training materials

  • Engage and work with data marketplace workstream

  • Prepares visual aids and provides presentations for HHIAD & other stakeholders


  • BA/BS

Knowledge and Skills

  • Minimum of (3) years pharmaceutical data management and/or analytics related working knowledge

  • Ability to handle conflicting and changing priorities and working in an ambiguous environment

  • Working knowledge of database application development (I/T development or Business owner standards)

Preferred Knowledge and Skills

  • Managing and executing UAT

  • Vendor and relationship management

  • Knowledge working with data libraries
