The Supplier Quality Compliance Engineer is a highly motivated individual that supports Supplier Quality Compliance systems and command media. This individual is responsible for execution of continuous improvement projects that improve our efficiency & customer satisfaction while reducing business risk. This individual engages with BAE Systems functional stakeholders, performs supplier onboarding validations, and utilizes Quality Engineering skills and experience to help shape Supplier Quality control systems and tools.

This individual has solid communications skills as well as the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.

Discrete role responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Reviewing supplier on-boarding documentation for compliance

  • Reviewing & redlining command media for improvement/updates as required

  • Creates & innovates new procedures and processes

  • Cross-functional engagement with functions stakeholders, to include: Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Program Management, and Engineering disciplines

  • Acts as a technical liaison with suppliers regarding onboarding evaluation and control system tools

  • Performs Data Extraction/Performance Analysis/Reporting

This is a remote position.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 4 years of related experience or 8 years of experience in lieu of degree

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with AS9100, ISO 9001

  • Knowledge or practical skills in Quality Management Systems, Program Management, Engineering Disciplines, Supply Chain Management

  • Able to read, comprehend, and interpret industry standards, specifications, customer requirements, and internal command media policies & procedures

  • Possesses continuous improvement skills, including technical writing, process/workflow mapping, Lean Six Sigma, and other process improvement practical experience

  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects and priorities with minimal oversight and direction

  • Strong analytical skills including ability to solve complex problems, delivering business solutions, analyze data and create meaningful charts & reports for management

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Familiarity with Counterfeit Parts Prevention requirements in DFARS 252.246-7007 & 252.246-7008

  • Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9001 audit methods

  • Past or Current Green Belt/Black Belt Certification to Lean Six Sigma

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $112420 - $191070

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
