About The Role:

This position performs accurate and timely set up and maintenance of securities that are needed for immediate trading while ensuring daily operational deadlines are met. Monitors ad-hoc requests from various groups related to immediate trading and ensures requests are valid before allowing updates to be processed. Concurrently, oversees T. Rowe Price's service provider who performs setups and maintenance of securities that are not needed for immediate trading. Works closely with trading, compliance, operations, relationship managers, technology teams and vendors to ensure a seamless and efficient stakeholder experience. Assists with projects and work streams that are related to security reference data across the firm. Works under minimal supervision with direct accountability for checklist tasks and daily processes. Approaches this role with the mindset of wanting to understand the how and why behind it. Participates in cross-departmental and cross-divisional initiatives designed to improve accuracy, generate efficiencies, and reduce risk. Role Summary

Administers the security setup and maintenance for the firm's Fixed Income, Equity, and Derivative trading needs. Works under close supervision of a senior team member and typically has some sole responsibility for a set list of tasks. Identifies process improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • With guidance from more experienced peers, coordinates the processing of security setup and maintenance, ensuring activities are accurate and compliant. Escalates identified issues and seeks guidance on appropriate corrective actions.

  • May interact with securities operations staff, relationship managers, portfolio managers, trading desks, and investment liaisons to collect and communicate basic information that impacts securities. May answer basic queries from internal clients, following a set of standardized practices. Escalates nonstandard queries to experienced peers or leaders.

  • Prepares standard documentation for stakeholder responses under the instruction of more experienced peers. Identifies process improvement opportunities.

  • With guidance and following established controls, checks and validates third-party data imports. Assists with process transitions to the end-state infrastructure. Aggregates feedback for management and third-party vendors on timeliness and quality.

    Typical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of the securities or financial services industry

    • Appetite for problem solving

    • SQL database management experience

    • Security Master experience

    • Bloomberg experience

    • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines

    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team environment and build strong relationships

    • Demonstrated initiative to proactively seek process improvement opportunities

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Regional Requirements: FINRA licenses are not required for this role and will not be supported.

    Work Flexibility: This role is eligible for remote work up to two days a week.

Base salary range:

$53,000 - $90,500USD

For the location of:

Colorado

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
