Lockheed Martin Building Maintenance Mechanic in Baltimore, Maryland

Description: The Senior Building Maintenance Mechanic will report to the Director of Flight Operations, Corporate Aircraft and will be responsible for maintaining the Corporate Aircraft hangar and fuel farm facilities located at the Martin State Airport.

Specific duties include:

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing issues as needed.

Perform routine repairs on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems as needed.

Supervise all contract services necessary to maintain the hangar and fuel farm facilities.

Maintain records and logs on hangar maintenance issues.

Prepare contract maintenance schedules.

Supervise janitorial services to ensure all standards, requirements and cleaning schedules are met.

Supervise construction projects and coordinate equipment moves. Ensure projects meet all trade, county, and state codes.

Monitor and maintain hangar supplies, tools and equipment, vehicles and ground support equipment.

Work with Corporate Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) group to ensure compliance with OSHA requirements.

Participates in safety management system to achieve department safety goals.

Generate weekly facilities report for management.

Perform any additional duties assigned by the Director, of Flight Operations.

Basic Qualifications:

5 or more years of experience as a Maintenance mechanic in an industrial or commercial setting.

Familiar with commercial HVAC, basic electrical, and basic plumbing.

Familiar with building maintenance requirements, fire codes, and OSHA requirements.

Experience with operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting building infrastructure and facilities equipment.

Has the knowledge to perform routine repairs and maintenance of building (hangar) and fuel farm equipment.

Desired Skills:

Journeyman’s Card or Trade School Certification.

The basic knowledge in reading blueprints.

Commercial HVAC certification.

Able to plan, prioritize and execute all work independently and as part of the Corporate Aircraft Team.

Ability to operate a variety of equipment (forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, floor scrubber, etc.).

10 years of experience as a Maintenance Building Mechanic in an industrial or commercial setting.

Commercial driver's license.

Strong computer skills.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $56,900 - $109,100. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
