Role Description:
This ETF Capital Markets Specialist resides within the Investment and Trading Solutions Group and is a member of the Global Trading team. The main purpose of this role is to support T. Rowe Price’s ETF investment and capital market teams, build operational capabilities, ensure overall ETF trading health, support ETF client engagement, and develop and maintain strategic relationships across the ETF capital markets’ ecosystem. The incumbent will liaise and partner with client-facing staff to pro-actively represent ETFs, investment related issues, as well as increase visibility of the department within the firm. ETFs represent an area of rapid innovation and growth for the firm and require a dynamic and forward looking professional to help support the Capital Markets function.
Job Responsibilities:
Establish relationships and ongoing interactions across ETF Capital Markets including Authorized Participants (APs), Market Makers, Exchanges, Third Party Technology and Data Vendors
Demonstrates sound judgement and problem solving to address quick strike issue containment, resolution and prevention, as well as long term technological outlook and implementation
Develop a strategic partnership engagement plan across all key liquidity providers, including ETF trading desks, APs, Market Makers, etc.
Manage trading and portfolio manager relationships including coordinating accurate and timely communication of changes across the trading division
Support Market Surveillance capability in order to monitor market quality across product range
Establish T. Rowe Price’s ETF Capital Markets team as a communication hub across both internal and external partners
Works with Compliance and Legal to clarify and resolve issues and determine best method for tracking compliance with those requirements
Manage various ETF Governance and Compliance oversight requirements
Lead efforts to monitor primary markets activity including AP Oversight, servicing AP creation/redemption orders, and new AP onboarding process
Manage launch protocol for new ETF products including initial seed strategy, lead market maker selection process, Exchange listing venue, etc.
Support internal reporting on ETF Capital Markets metrics for distribution throughout the firm
Support targeted external reporting and/or content on T. Rowe Price ETFs, highlighting trading, flows, performance, etc.
Work with key stakeholders on market structure issues, representing ETFs in broader industry discussions
Typical Qualifications:
Required:
College degree required and advanced degree or designation (MBA, CFA) preferred
Minimum of 6+ years’ experience in the financial services industry, preferably in ETF capital markets
Ability to both delegate effectively and execute directly when necessary
Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to influence senior management
Strong organizational, time management, and relationship management skills
Preferred:
Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritization and time allocation
Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to maintain focus and drive results
Series 7 and 63 preferred
Ability to quickly process information, draw relevant conclusions, and clearly summarize results.
Savvy use of technology in combination with a data driven mindset
FINRA Requirements
FINRA licenses are required and will be supported for this role.
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.
Base salary ranges:
$151,000.00-$258,500.00 for the location of: California, New York
$151,000.00-$258,500.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C
$151,000.00-$258,500.00 for the location of: Colorado, Maryland, Washington and all other US locations
Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role . Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package . Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
