iReturn provides experienced professionals with a 12-week "returnship" to prepare for a full-time career in one of several fields at Northrop Grumman through training, professional development and networking opportunities. Our "returnship" program focuses on giving you a seamless transition back into the workforce and will run from September - November providing candidates with the essential skills and tools for an effective re-entry into the workforce. Upon completion of the program, candidates will be eligible for full-time roles with the company.

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Software Engineer for participation in the iReturn Program
The Software Engineers will work in all phases of the software development lifecycle, primarily in C/C++. They will interface with systems engineering to develop flow down software requirements and technical specifications. Responsibilities include identifying risks, suggesting mitigation, tracking defects, developing resolutions, and reporting status. The individual will also be expected to develop software related products, support software designs, execute unit tests, build verification test plans, and track and report test status.
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or other STEM discipline with a minimum of 2 years of experience
Prior professional work experience as an Engineer or within a related technical area.
Embedded C/C++ programming experience with knowledge of object-oriented development
Career Break of a minimum of 2 years required.
Ability to Obtain a D.O.D issued clearance, U.S. Citizenship is required. An Active clearance is not required prior to starting in this role.
