Northrop Grumman Principal Engineer CAD CAM Electrical Computer Aided Design(ECAD) Librarian in Baltimore, Maryland
The Engineering Environment Development & Support (EEDS) organization is seeking an Engineer CAD CAM Electrical Computer Aided Design (ECAD)
Librarian to join our team of talented and diverse people dedicated to support and innovate in the area of interoperability between Computer Aided Design & Engineering (CAD/CAE) and Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM). This position is located in Baltimore, MD.
The Engineer CAD CAM ECAD Librarian conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with circuit designers and/or product line engineers in the design, development, and utilization of software to create a representation of components, modules, or complete products for the electrical tool library. Determines user needs; advises hardware designers on characteristics that affect printed board documentation such schematic symbols, land patterns, and component outline requirements.
The candidate should be self-motivated and detailed oriented with experience working with ECAD board tools and libraries. The candidate will collaborate with electrical, components, manufacturing and other engineering disciplines in
the development of ECAD library parts to support the Expedition Enterprise Tool Suite.
Bachelor's degree with 5 years of professional experience, Masters degree with 3 yrs or PhD with 0 yrs exp (yrs exp will be accepted in lieu of degree)and a3-5 years' experience working with printed circuit board library and electrical component descriptions.
Experience Using PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design and library creation software
Ability to understand a component data sheet
Knowledge of ECAD board library parts including logic symbols, cells(footprints), pad stacks and logical to physical pin mapping
U.S. Citizenship is required
Experience using ECAD board design tools
Understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering design practices
Knowledge about printed board manufacturing producibility criteria
Familiarity and usage of CAD drawing tools
Experience in creating scripts or programs is a plus
