Role Summary

The Sales Intelligence & Insights team is seeking a strategic thinker, with a consultative approach to join our team as a Lead Analyst. This role supports business leaders across the US Sales and Marketing teams, in close partnership with subject matter experts in Operations and Technology. We are looking for a dynamic individual who has a strong technical background and is able to communicate complex topics to less technical audiences. A successful Lead Analyst:

  • Applies advanced technical expertise and business knowledge to produce relevant and meaningful visualizations, data analyses, and business insights to help formulate strategy and drive effective execution.

  • Believes that success is achieved through collaboration, open communication, and a willingness to learn.

  • Applies an effective consultative approach to maximize impact of desired outcomes

    Responsibilities:

  • Independently conducts advanced, complex statistical and quantitative analyses for US Intermediary and Retirement Plan Services distribution. In partnership with business subject matter experts, leads development of advanced statistical modeling and quantitative analysis projects. Serves as a resource to less experienced team members in development of advanced methodologies and techniques.

  • Support US distribution sales to accelerate the delivery of business-critical insights from question to project to insight.

  • Lead the development of quantitative analysis projects; effectively consulting with business partners from conception to activation.

  • Prepare data visualizations and deliver insight to multiple audiences from management to sales teams.

  • Effectively communicate technical outputs to non-technical audiences.

  • Identify opportunities to improve the user experience by increasing automation and reducing required manual effort.

  • Drafts project plans, use cases, user stories, and implementation reports.

    Qualifications:

    Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field

  • 8+ years’ experience in a related field, with progressing levels of responsibility

    Preferred

  • 5+ years of experience applying analytical processes to complex datasets and developing accompanying visualizations.

  • 3+ years communicating with clients to frame business problems and deliver results.

  • Experience working with cross functional teams.

  • Strong communicator with a demonstrated ability to engage effectively with executive leadership

  • Financial services industry experience preferred .

  • BS/BA in STEM field preferred.

  • Strong work ethic in terms of time management, project ownership, and accountability.

    Relevant Technical Skills

  • Experience in Data visualization tools (Tableau preferred)

  • Experience in SQL

  • Experience with data manipulation and analysis (python, R, Alteryx)

  • Independently conducts advanced, complex statistical and quantitative analyses for assigned area. In partnership with business subject matter experts, leads development of advanced statistical modeling and quantitative analysis projects. Serves as a resource to less experienced team members in development of advanced methodologies and techniques.

  • Validates and reviews results to ensure they address identified business needs. Reports results to senior leaders as needed.

  • Prepares visualizations and delivers results to management and/or other leaders. In partnership with business subject matter experts, provides recommendations for addressing observed outcomes. Translates complex technical concepts and analyses to nontechnical audiences.

  • Partners with cross-functional leadership to define the firm's data-related requirements. Creates and manages the strategy and ensures data deliverables and processes drive business results for key segments of the firm. Oversees internal and external business partners in the execution of the plan. Drafts project plans, use cases, user stories, or business cases.

This role is eligible for remote work up to two days a week.
