Job Description:

Job Summary: The Application Engineer for Vascular Access Products will serve as the technical expert and primary contact for customers, healthcare providers, and internal teams for the Vascular Access product line. This role is responsible for supporting the effective use of our products in clinical settings by providing technical training, product demonstrations, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical devices, particularly in vascular access, and a background in healthcare or engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Training and Support:

  • Conduct in-depth training sessions for customers, clinicians, and internal teams on the proper use and application of vascular access products, including product demonstrations and hands-on training.

  • Develop training materials, presentations, and technical documentation tailored to the needs of end users and stakeholders.

Clinical and Technical Expertise:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for vascular access products, including product features, clinical applications, and safety guidelines.

  • Provide insights into CDC, INS, SHEA, and other relevant healthcare guidelines, helping customers implement best practices and standard protocols.

Customer Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Address customer inquiries and troubleshoot technical issues in collaboration with clinical teams, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.

  • Collect and analyze customer feedback to identify and resolve common issues, working closely with product development teams.

Market and Product Development Support:

  • Collaborate with the R&D and product management teams to provide customer and market feedback, contributing to product improvements and new product development.

  • Assist in competitive analysis, gathering information on market needs and industry trends, and share insights for future product strategies.

Clinical Support for Demand Generation:

  • Lead product demonstrations and trials in hospitals and clinics to promote the value of vascular access products, engaging directly with healthcare providers.

  • Conduct ongoing product evaluations and case studies in clinical environments to gather evidence of efficacy and optimize user experience.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, technical issues, and resolutions, generating reports for management on customer feedback and field activity.

  • Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly updates on product usage, issues, and training needs for internal stakeholders.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment on product messaging, customer needs, and compliance with regulations.

  • Participate in cross-functional meetings, sharing clinical insights and feedback to improve product performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree /Master Degree in Nursing or Life science or related field (clinical or technical background preferred).

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a clinical practice and 3 years of experience in application engineering, or product support role within the medical device industry, preferably in vascular access or related areas.

  • Strong knowledge of vascular access devices, CDC/INS/SHEA guidelines, and infection control practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and interact with clinical professionals effectively.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Willingness to travel for on-site customer training and support as needed.
