Inventory Control Analyst Specialist 1 - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Barberton, OH

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for scheduling LTL shipments, small parcel shipments, and scheduling other shipments as required. Schedules pickups for parts, materials, tools, and scrap.

  • Works with Corporate Logistics personnel as part of job duties.

  • Provides accurate and complete shipping and receiving documents, including but not limited to Bill of Ladings, shipping requests, using the FedEx online tool to create shipping labels, DCMA online shipping tool, ShipCSX online shipping tool, and documents related to hazardous materials.

  • Sends all Bills of Lading, FedEx shipments, and delivery invoices to accounting weekly.

  • Provides backup support in the resolution of shipping and receiving issues by investigating issues related to paperwork, lost/missing shipments, SAP receipt issues, etc.

  • Supports Quality Operations by assembling and distributing receipt inspection packages for received parts, materials and tools.

  • Places each receipt inspection order on the electronic management system. Provides backup support for receipt inspection results recording when neccessary.

  • Processes goods receipts in electronic management system for Buyers, Maintenance, Facilities, etc.

  • Responsible for processing the receipt of Government Furnished Material, Government Furnished Equipment, and Bonded Storage/Retention Material.

  • Maintains records, prepares reports, and sends mailings as required. Maintains and orders office supplies for the Material Services Group.

  • Provides additional support to the Material Services Group and other departments as neccessary.

  • Maintain an organized work area while prioritizing daily activities to ensure work is completed accurately and on time.      

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Requires prior experience with shipping and receiving operations.

  • Strong computer skills and experience with MS Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) are a must.

  • Previous experience using SAP is highly desired.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.

  • Three years of associated responsibilities.

Position requires U.S. Citizenship (with no dual citizenship) and ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance, which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation and previous employment reference verifications.
