Kellanova Associate Packaging Engineer in Battle Creek, Michigan

Innovate with us as an Associate Packaging Engineer supporting our Salty Snacking business at Kellanova. Utilize your technical knowledge of packaging material and supply chain as you develop, implement and commercialize new packaging solutions across a wide range of product/package forms. Drive the overall growth of our company as you work with cross-functional teams focusing out on cracker brands, including Cheez-It, Club, Townhouse and Carr’s. This is a hybrid role located in Battle Creek, MI. Estimated travel up to 30%.

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

  • Driving Innovation – Grow the innovation pipeline through developing, transforming and executing packaging projects. Additionally, you will be a key member of the sustaining innovation team driving the innovation calendar.

  • End to End Support – Bottom line growth is critical to our success. This position will be a key contributor by delivering cost reduction across the entire portfolio of products and material platforms.

  • Leadership and Consumer Focus - Demonstrate technical and business leadership within cross-functional teams while supporting the company philosophy and direction. Engage with consumers in the evaluation of packaging concepts and prototypes.

  • Internal and External Collaboration – Creating partnerships both internally and externally will be key to your success in this role.

    We’re Looking for Someone With

  • Technical depth and breadth within the packaging discipline.

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in packaging, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or another related technical field.

  • Clear understanding of packaging design, materials, equipment, and systems.

  • Experienced in problem-solving, leading, and managing projects and project teams.

  • Ability to influence and drive alignment among team functions.

  • Effective communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information to a wide range of individuals/audiences with different knowledge levels.

    Compensation

    The annual salary range is $78,160 - $102,600, which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
