Job Summary:

Construction Digital & Technology is hiring a product consultant for digital solutions in China. In this role, you will support equipment management and productivity product development and go to market initiatives as a subject matter expert of digital products. This role is for an experienced and passionate individual contributor who enjoys working collaboratively and who can handle assignments that are complex, challenging and lend themselves to strategic decisions and recommendations. This position also prioritizes opportunities through team member influence, product group alignment, and industry relationships to position Caterpillar's digital products.

Job Duties:

• Develop strategies to improve Caterpillar technology utilization through an improved off-board ecosystem.

• Work across the organization to identify and prioritize the largest opportunities for alignment, develop necessary business cases, and define the approach to deliver.

• Drive alignment across the team on key business objectives and priorities, ensure appropriate resources are in place to execute, and synchronize development across the organization to deliver key projects.

• Lead cross-functional go-to-market teams where on-board technology, off-board services, and commercial strategies meet, actively participating in all decisions for taking the technology to market: voice of customer collection, marketing, financials, and deployment readiness.

• Coordinate support for customer operations.

• Maintain product playbook and deliver training for annual product updates.

• Develop and manage product marketing communication materials.

This position requires travel of 50% or more.

Skill Descriptors

Bachelor’s Degree in accredited program for engineering or digital technology or equivalent in experience.− Technology product development or go-to market experience.

• Reports problems that arise in the data collection process.

• Participates in gathering and analyzing an organization's data based on requirements.

• Documents data from various sources and in various formats.

• Utilizes basic data collection and evaluation tools and techniques.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Level Working Knowledge:

• Delivers helpful feedback that focuses on behaviors without offending the recipient.

• Listens to feedback without defensiveness and uses it for own communication effectiveness.

• Makes oral presentations and writes reports needed for own work.

• Avoids technical jargon when inappropriate.

Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
