The Hyatt Regency Bellevue is excited to recruit for an Event Setup Houseperson on our Events Team!

The Event Setup Houseperson is responsible for setting up and breaking down all meeting spaces with tables/chairs/water, etc. Duties will include:
Delighting guests on a regular basis & interacting with clients regarding proper setup specifications of meeting spaces.
Following proper instructions to correctly setup & turn meeting spaces.
Lifting a moderate amount of weight consistently throughout the day.
Maintaining proper cleanliness of all meeting spaces & back of house areas.
The hourly rate for this position is $16 plus service charges & gratuities.
This position earns additional compensation through automatic service charges applied to banquet functions. 16.5% of the taxable 25% service charge goes to the banquet service team (which includes servers, bartenders, setup housepersons and supervisors, captains, etc.). 8.5% of the 25% service charge is retained by the hotel. A taxable 25% service charge and applicable taxes shall be added to all meeting room rental charges, 6% of which goes to event setup colleagues, and 19% is retained by the hotel.

Qualifications:
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others
Good communication skills

Must be able to stand/walk/be in motion for duration of shift
Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight throughout duration of shift
Detail oriented and able to follow instructions well
Previous customer service experience preferred
