What does a successful Sales Engineer do at Fiserv?

You will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining strong client relationships throughout the sales cycle, focusing on clients with revenue ranging from $50MM to $300MM. You’ll take ownership of driving and managing key stages of the sales process, including technology evaluation, discovery, and the seamless handoff for implementation. As the go-to technical expert and advisor, you will collaborate closely with the sales team, advocating for both internal and external product solutions. This role requires the ability to clearly communicate technology and product value to both technical and business stakeholders. You’ll proactively identify and resolve technical challenges, ensuring customer satisfaction at every stage.

What you will do:

• Develop and deliver product demonstrations from both the Clover and Carat product portfolios

• Represent the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.

• Build and maintain a knowledge base of third-party integration pathways to the Fiserv platforms

• Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs

• Convey customer requirements to Product Management teams

• Work through technical review/questions in discovery calls as well as troubleshoot challenges in the implementation process

• Walk through APIs, including Clover, Carat, and North platform, where applicable

• Must be prepared to travel (approx. 20%)

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of education, military or 5+ years of work experience within the Fintech Industry

• 5+ years of experience as a successful sales professional in the payments or software industries is required

• 5+ years of experience prioritizing time effectively and supporting large teams of sales associates

• 5+ years of experience effectively communicating complex technical requirements in a simple manner

What would be great to have:

• Master’s degree or 7+ years of relevant experience within the Fintech Industry

• 7+ years of Integrated payments experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Partner facing technical resource (before, during and after integration for added feature requests)

This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Nevada, Rhode Island or Washington.
