Fiserv Sales Operations Advisor in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey

  • Wh at does a great Sales Operations, Advisor do at Fiserv? The Sales Operations Advisor is charged with improving sales performance through better processes, technology and methodologies. The main focus areas for this role are:

  • Directly support the sales team enabling them to spend more time in the field and improve associated processes/tools by identifying continuous improvement of process efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Support sales managers enabling them to more effectively lead their teams by increasing the rate of adoption of processes/tools & sales best practices so they can spend more time in the field.

  • Address operational issues thus allowing the sales manager(s) to devote much of their attention to opportunity management, sales associates and the businesses they support

  • Provide significant contribution and support to major Sales Operations initiatives in areas including demand generation, deal governance, opportunity advancement and reporting and analysis.

  • The ideal person will be able to create/analyze complex spreadsheets & reports, communicate key details professionally, maintain accurate audit trail of all work done, and balance multiple tasks simultaneously. What will you do:

  • Be initial point of contact for all Salesforce.com (eCRM) reporting requests, issues, dashboards, etc.

  • Liaison with reporting teams (eCRM, GSO Finance, etc.) on reports and the latest updates

  • Develop and manage regular management and sales reporting and work to enhance it and transition to a more user-friendly dashboard environment

  • Monitor process compliance and compliance to Company-wide standards, and proactively identifies opportunities to share best practices

  • Communicate effectively with sales leadership to identify and address areas for improvement within their respective teams and assist them where needed with internal meeting preparation, territory analysis, and sales executive level reporting

  • Proactively collect and share sales best practices – identify strategy and tactics that are working for one sales leader or sales executive and share them with others

  • Provide project management support for sales team projects and roll outs

  • Support the sales forecasting process, as appropriate

  • Participate in planning and execution of major Sales Operations initiatives

  • Work with contracts administration team as needed

  • Work in partnership with other individuals and groups within Banking and Issuer Solutions. These may include Finance, GMs, GSO, Product, Marketing, etc.

  • Assist Director of Sales Operations and Sales Leader with monthly operations reviews, deep dive reporting, sales kick off, quarterly business reviews, annual budget, and long-range planning, as appropriate What will you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • 3+ years of experience in a sales operations role in a payments environment or comparable B2B industry (Consulting, Financial Services) preferred

  • Strong data and analytic skillset, excel power user, PowerBI and Salesforce.com preferred

  • Salesforce or similar CRM experience required with ability to create queries and reports

  • Experience indicating an understanding of the sales process and the support needs of a sales organization

  • Experience indicating an ability to understand and effectively communicate with multiple functional groups

  • Demonstrated understanding of key sales performance metrics and processes (pipeline, forecasting, demand generation, etc.) What would be great to have:

  • Strong Analytical skills and skill level with BI

  • Ability to distill loosely defined problems, identify potential approaches and execute solutions

  • Very strong skill level with Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • Strong project and time management skills
