JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Cloud Foundations will be the Technical Product Owner responsible for the engineering design, delivery, and operations to deploy and scale solutions for Secure Cloud Infrastructure provisioning. This person will work with key stakeholders across Technology and Information Security teams to define the vision, architecture, approach, roadmap, and go to market plan for Cloud products/solutions. Supported by a team of engineers, the ideal candidate will be the owner for all Cloud foundational products and is skilled in setting the direction of a team and breaking delivery into workable components.

Automation, Cloud, and long-term product iteration will be the new standards as we seek to enable rapid iteration, speed-to-market, and proactive security and operations. With leaders who have driven this transformation elsewhere, we need engineers who are excited about evolving the organization and setting the gold standard. CANDIDATE PROFILE
Required :
• Undergraduate degree in an engineering or computer science discipline and/or equivalent experience/certification
• 5+ years of progressive technology experience with a blend of technical knowledge and a customer-focused mindset including:
o Experience in leading the delivery of Cloud products/solutions involving automated secure infrastructure provisioning and application networking
o Experience in Cloud concepts and technologies across a major cloud provider or multiple.
o Experience in the rollout of CI/CD technologies, such as Harness and Jenkins
o Expertise with Terraform in secure Infrastructure provisioning
• Excellent technical knowledge of current & emerging infrastructure systems & standards
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including Security, Enterprise Architecture, and Developers to gather requirements, feedback, and ensure alignment with the product objectives
• Ability to create constructive relationships, influence, and communicate (to product team, engineering management, and non-technical staff)
• Ability to manage / drive change across multiple Cloud products
• Delivery focused with experience in Kanban and/or Agile
Preferred :
• Graduate Degree in a technical discipline
• Experience with Cloud solutions; deployment, management, and orchestration across multi-cloud environments.
o Experience with design elements such as VPCs, Cloud routing and general networking
o Strong understanding of Cloud architecture, infrastructure and services
o Experience deploying AWS landing zones and Control towers.
o Experience with account vending and security
• 2+ years’ experience with Infrastructure automation solutions; deployment, management, and orchestration across multi-cloud environments using Terraform
• 3+ years of technology leadership experience where you served as a technical product owner or program manager:
o Experience driving a product from the concept phase through maturity
o Experience in developing strategic roadmaps and tactical plans for product rollouts
o Experience with evangelizing a product driving widescale adoption
o Experience coordinating cross-functional teams
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as software engineers, system administrators, security teams, leadership, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements and design to promote a smooth delivery.
• Work with stakeholders to define operational metrics and observability for the Cloud products
• Work with stakeholders to design, develop, and deliver a Service Mesh and Secure Infrastructure automation solutions
• Maintain in-depth documentation of activities and system configuration.
• Obtain market data and competitive intelligence to inform our D&O strategy. Maintain industry knowledge and enhance subject matter expertise, identify trends and changes in technology and automation strategies.
• Develops and communicates a point of view on complex technical topics. Aligns multiple domains, both technical and non-technical, on this common vision.
• Creates and articulates an innovative and compelling value proposition so that MI executives clearly realize the benefits and transformational value of Cloud products
Managing Projects and Priorities
• Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work for self and any direct reports.
• Provides direction and assistance to other teams regarding projects. Helps determine priorities, schedules, plans and necessary resources to ensure completion of any projects on schedule.
• Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• Thinks creatively and practically to develop, execute and implement new plans or programs. Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
• Provides recommendations to improve the effectiveness of processes or programs.
Financial Management
• Responsible for participating in budget and other financial management activities.
Managing and Conducting Human Resources Activities
• Interviews talent and fosters a modern engineering culture.
• Promotes the fair and equitable treatment of employees.
• Fosters employee commitment to providing excellent service, participates in daily stand-up meetings and models desired service behaviors in all interactions with customer and employees.
The salary range for this position is $117,700 to $195,000 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus and restricted stock units/stock grants.
Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
