Lockheed Martin Environmental Safety and Health Management Information Systems Lead in Bethesda, Maryland

Description: The staff ESH engineer will analyze ESH process requirements and support development and implementation of various ESH enterprise management information systems and related documentation and reports for Lockheed Martin. The position interfaces directly with corporate ESHS staff members, other corporate functional staff such as IT, Finance, LM Supply Chain, and ESH representatives from the business areas. This position with have responsibilities and oversight for IT tools and processes related to environmental regulations, including but not limited to waste, air quality, greenhouse gas, water and chemicals.

Specific job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Coordinate development of common processes and supporting tools across the ESHS function to achieve affordability, efficiency and compliance objectives.

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather process and system requirements, including key 1LMX integration points.

• Lead and/or support the Common Systems Committee (CSC)

• Manage customer requests including custom reports generation and systems troubleshooting/ problem solving activities.

• Participate in systems testing and support user acceptance testing.

• Facilitate systems user documentation development, communications and training.

• Manage systems improvement projects with appropriate consideration for process and systems integration and basic architecture requirements.

• Actively support the Common Systems User Forum (CSUF)

• Coordinate and/or participate in structured improvement activities (SIA) events to achieve ESH continuous process and systems improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience with environmental regulations/requirements (e.g., waste, water, air, chemicals, etc.)

• ESH and/or ESH information systems related technical education and training.

• Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) with peers and leadership.

• Minimum of 9 years of work experience in the ESH and/or ESH related information systems domain.

• Advanced level of proficiency with computer-based tools and applications including Microsoft Office tools.

• Ability to design efficient, effective processes and systems with appropriate consideration of corporate and business area requirements.

• Program/project management skills, including experience building successful relationships within a team either as team leader or participant to achieve goals and execute deliverables.

• Ability to plan and execute data analysis in support of tactical and strategic decision making.

• Demonstrated strategic and analytical thinking skills.

Desired Skills:

Experience supporting both environmental and safety and health programs for US and non-US operations.

• Experience with data architecture design

• Program/project management experience including effective planning to address complex issues and oversight of budget and schedule elements.

• Experience supporting development of ESH Management Information Systems and/or related custom reports.

• Experience helping users resolve usage issues with IT tools.

• Cross-business area and/or cross-functional team experience.

• LM21 green or black belt or other continuous improvement tools and techniques knowledge to develop creative process and systems improvements.

• Experience managing supplier agreements and working with external vendors.

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $110,300 - $207,600. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $95,900 - $183,800 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
