This is a temporary position.

The Flex Director, Technology Communications and Knowledge Management, is responsible for enabling successful initiative, project and campaign delivery through communications planning and execution and knowledge management across the Global Technology organization.

Reporting the Vice President, Technology Portfolio Management, the director will work closely with senior leaders, project teams, technology experts, and business stakeholders to maximize engagement within Global Technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Communication Planning and Delivery

  • Design and execute internal communication plans to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the delivery of new strategies and organizational and process changes.

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of centralized communication platforms, such as SharePoint/Teams sites and MGS to ensure they effectively support driving tech delivery and provide easy access to up-to-date information.

  • Partner with Global Communications & Public Affairs (GCPA) team to ensure that the right information goes to the right audiences, and that GT work is aligned with Marriott business activities

  • Advancing GT initiatives and communicating with GT stakeholders, including senior leaders, project and technical teams

  • Facilitate the development of Quarterly MBO updates, help with monthly and quarter GT reports to the Board and other reporting or compliance coordination efforts

Change and Knowledge Management

  • Partner with Global Technology, discipline stakeholders, and learning development to identify, develop, and successfully delivery training programs to equip employees with the skills and knowledge needed to adapt to organizational changes (e.g., strategic insourcing, Marriott Tech Accelerator- India, agility transformation, etc.)

  • Create and implement comprehensive change management plans that address the needs of GT and its employees to account for delivery model changes

  • Track the progress of change initiatives, measure their impact, and make necessary adjustments to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Identify and enable mechanisms to capture knowledge of best practices and lessons learned across GT (e.g. tools, training, knowledge champions, etc.)

  • Conduct regular audits of platforms and repositories to ensure content and channel relevance and applicability

Required Experience and Skills

  • 8-10 years in Communications, Program Management, Knowledge Management

  • End-to-end understanding of communication planning, mapping, and delivery

  • Experience working with technology teams

  • Project management, program management, metrics, and reporting

  • Content management, knowledge management, process improvement

Suggested Desirable Skills

  • Specialized knowledge of SharePoint, PowerPoint, JIRA, Confluence, company intranets, CRM/email systems

  • Change management experience

  • Experience managing data and executive reporting

  • Strong project management skills with ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects

  • Excellent communication skills

The pay range for this position is $56.58 to $91.73 per hour.

Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.0334 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 9 holidays annually.
