The FLEX Senior Manager, US + Canada Learning is a key member of the US + Canada Learning Organization. This role involves contributing specialized knowledge and skills in Human Resources and Learning operations to support Digital Technology Transformation and Power of M learning for properties across all brands in the Continent.

  • Support for US-CAN Communities:

  • Ensure hotels and teams (including above property) are fully equipped for successful cutover related to learning.

  • Provide access to the right learning resources to ensure success during and beyond the cutover.

  • Offer clarity on learning-related contacts and timelines.

  • Facilitate easy reporting on learning-related business readiness requirements.

  • Identify and mitigate risks related to learning assignments in partnership with Learning Technology for each Power of M Community.

  • Global Talent Development:

  • Participate in DTT Learning Meetings with Global Learning Development, Global Learning PMO, and Brand Talent/Pas, capturing key action items for US-CAN.

  • Partner with the Learning Technology Team to analyze learning data (completions, progress, in-tool support metrics) and work across the COE and BTO to measure learning strategy efficacy and identify areas for improvement community to community.

  • Identify and address additional continent-specific learning needs (content, communications, deployment tools/assets).

  • Develop and execute plans to meet additional needs.

  • Engage continent resources and SMEs for curricula/content review, including non-systems learning.

  • Engage on other DTT workstreams within the COE, as needed.

  • Partnership, Alignment, and Advisory:

  • Partner with BTO Change & Comms and Deployment leads for End User Council Engagement related to learning.

  • Support change and communication strategy to keep the Learning Team aligned and appropriately amplifying program-specific communications in lockstep with the BTO.

  • Represent the US & Canada learning team at End User Council meetings/Wall Walks as needed for future communities (FS, ES, Opera, and Special).

  • Align with all DTT business partners and US & Canada learning team members to ensure coordinated workstreams as updates and launches occur.

  • Engage in Content SME review strategy, alignment, and execution.

  • Advise the US & Canada leadership team on project waves and rightsizing BAU classes to meet project support demands 3-6 months in advance.

  • Oversee the pull-through of DTT content into the current US & Canada delivery curriculum and work with the USCAN Program Management & Logistics team to identify parallel program needs.

  • Work across teams (RM, Con Ops, Franchise, etc.) to coordinate and sequence content updates for Continent programs in partnership with Development.

  • Align BAU/day-to-day learning needs, including learning bundle funded programs, for communities cutting over in later waves while ensuring priority needs for Digital Technology Transformation are met.

  • Team Leadership:

  • Manage direct reports, as required.

  • Guide the US & Canada delivery team on frontline efforts to support the field, IMs, and Command Center.

  • Strategize the structure and tools to set up team norms, governance, and business infrastructure to support DTT/Power of M.

  • Tracking and Oversight:

  • Track measurables throughout the project to show adoption of the new learning model.

  • Oversee the integration of Power of M learning content into the current US & Canada delivery curriculum.

  • Review sustainment/onboarding models beyond 90 days.

  • Monitor continent DTT feedback and success measures, adjusting internal processes as needed.

  • Provide regular updates to senior leaders on learning progress and outcomes.

Candidate Profile

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS (or equivalent) preferred.

  • Five+ years of experience in learning delivery or project management.

  • Experience leading others.

Competencies and Attributes:

  • Ability to implement change and foster accountability.

  • Strong business and financial acumen.

  • Excellent project management and communication skills.

  • Ability to influence without authority and manage in a virtual work environment.

  • Strong knowledge of delivery options/media and analysis methods.

  • Proficiency with Marriott’s learning technology.

  • Up to 50% travel required.

The pay range for this position is $47.35 to $67.88 per hour.

Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.0334 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 9 holidays annually.
