This is a temporary position.

The Marriott Cobrand team is looking for a Senior Program Specialist to manage the data collection, maintenance, and vetting of the Marriott property Merchant ID (MIDs) database. Merchant IDs (MIDs) are the transaction code that is used by the bank to identify a Marriott transaction​. This position will support all Cobrand bank partners – both US and International.

Given the nature of the role, excellent communication, analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are key qualities to possess. The ideal candidate should be adept at working collaboratively with different departments and be able to streamline processes for efficiency.

The ideal candidate:

  • Can integrate data from multiple sources

  • Will coordinate with various teams, including payments team and continent partner

  • Is comfortable interacting directly with bank partners

  • Proactively investigates issues and discrepancies

  • Is process-oriented

  • Can identify inefficiencies and solve process problems

Key activities include:

  • Collecting property MIDs through automated form submission via properties, continent leads, and payment teams directly.

  • Distributing new/updated MID lists to ALL bank partners on a consistent and frequent basis

  • Working one-off requests from Bank Partners in a timely manner

  • Verifying the MID is a MI property and valid by cross referencing multiple sources of data

  • Entering MIDs into tracking sheet that come from the Critical Path checklist for new properties

  • Manually enter data into designated tracking sheets, ensuring accuracy by verifying against multiple sources of data

  • Data validation: Checking for errors in entered data, such as incorrect extra characters or missing information

  • Data formatting: Organizing data according to specific formatting guidelines. Some of our Bank Partners have different requirements when processing MIDs

  • Spreadsheet creation and management: Creating and updating spreadsheets with entered data.

  • Ability to handle large volumes of data with a commitment to maintaining data integrity

  • Performs data analysis: Review data to determine gaps and risks before distribution.

  • Data cleaning: Ensuring that duplicate data is removed prior to sending to Bank Partners.

  • Working closely with Bank Partners to recommend and facilitate process improvements to minimize customer escalations.

  • Monitors and ensures compliance with bank partners

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience Required

  • High school diploma or GED and 4 years’ experience in the business, sales and marketing, management operations, or related professional area OR 4-year degree from an accredited university

  • Experience managing detailed documentation and data

  • Proficiency with computer software: (Microsoft Office, data entry applications, Smartsheet a plus)

The pay range for this position is $24.23 to $40.96 per hour.
