This is a temporary position.

Marriott International is looking for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Salesforce Marketing Cloud to lead ongoing support of a new and existing Salesforce marketing platforms. The ideal candidate will be an experienced senior engineer with a proven track record of implementing Salesforce Marketing Cloud and integrating it into large enterprise solutions. This engineer will serve as a marketing subject matter expert, contributing to technical design, development, and testing, while collaborating with various partners and service providers. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are essential for thriving in a highly matrixed environment alongside the required Salesforce Marketing and Service Cloud technical expertise. The candidate should be flexible and must be an engaging team player .

Requirements

· Leverage Salesforce Service and Marketing cloud expertise to act as technical architect and hands-on Salesforce engineer

· Must not be afraid to ask questions or adverse to being asked questions; willing to share experiences and explain alternative solutions

· Deliver technical solutions with focus on security, authentication, scalability and performance

· Ability to work independently or on a team

  • Serve as lead Salesforce developer, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards and coaching and mentoring team members

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills within a team environment

  • -Ability to work in an Enterprise Agile/Transitioning development environment

  • Review and approve design documents, code reviews, test plans, and deployment plans

· Make informed decisions on architectural design, considering tradeoffs, benefits, and recommendations

· Collaborate with business analysts and product managers to understand requirements and translate into solutions

Education and Experience Required

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent years of experience and/or certification

· 6+ years of experience and in-depth knowledge of Salesforce administration and development; security, standard objects, reports/dashboards, Knowledge, data management, and sandbox environments

· Minimum 3-5+ years of experience with consuming web services

· 1-2+ years of experience Lightning framework (Aura, LWC)

Technical Requitements

· Proficiency in AMPscript, SQL, and HTML/CSS.

· Experience with Email Studio, Journey Builder, and Automation Studio.

· Solid understanding of web technologies, such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, XML, JSON, and/or Ajax

· Proficiency in integrating Salesforce with other applications using Connected Apps and APIs

· Experience with Integrating Marketing Cloud with additional SF instances

· Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, other)

· Strong understanding of lightning flows and trigger framework

· Expertise in programming languages and methodologies (e.g., Java and Apex)

Other Qualifications

· An unbridled curiosity and interest in problem solving and iterative development

· Salesforce developer/architect/admin certifications including Salesforce marketing certifications (Email Specialist, Administrator, Developer, Consultant) are pluses

· Experience in development of hotel property applications

· Leadership experience in a sourced environment

The pay range for this position is $58.60 to $83.13 per hour.

Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.0334 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 9 holidays annually.
