JOB SUMMARY

This position is based in Bethesda, MD and will be required to work onsite in the office.

Responsible for all aspects of audio-visual, collaboration, conference room, meeting scheduling, event setup and support at Marriott International Headquarters. Functions as a technical expert in the collaboration tools, A/V equipment, meeting support areas. Resolves service requests and ensures high quality and polished customer service.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required :

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

  • 3+ years’ information technology experience including some or all of the following:

  • 1 year of experience with A/V systems, specifically Poly and Crestron

  • Operations of A/V technologies and collaboration tools such as Teams and other conferencing platforms such as Zoom and Webex

  • Familiarity with audio system technologies (e.g. Microphones, Audio Mixers, etc)

Other Skills, Experience and Attributes

  • Technical A/V certifications such as CTS

  • Advanced knowledge of collaboration tools such as Teams, Webex, and Zoom

  • Experience in IT customer service environment using Service Now ITSM

  • Working knowledge of AV architecture and administration.

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure

  • Positive, professional image

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others

  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Provide in-person and virtual IT support for conference room meetings, video conference-based events, Town Hall meetings, etc.

  • Responsible for setup, running, and take down of A/V equipment used throughout the building

  • Serve as on-site A/V support for events

  • Provide technical assistance and support during events as requested or as needed

  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain videoconferencing equipment

  • Provide basic instruction on the operation of A/V equipment to end users as necessary

  • Develop and document technical processes and procedures as necessary

  • Provide AV technical support throughout the building as needed

  • Provide on-site technical support and problem resolution to include but not limited to: AV systems expertise, meeting management, event support

  • Responsible for adhering to established quality control and security protocols

  • Builds, leverages, and maintains effective relationships across technical and business community.

  • Interact with customers to achieve efficient, effective results

  • Multi-task and prioritize in accordance with business priorities and executive availability requirements

  • Record and respond to user queries using the incident management system (SNOW)

  • Maintain ownership of customer problems until a mutually satisfactory resolution is obtained

  • Escalate issues appropriately to other team members or other teams

  • Identify and highlights persistent problems

  • Participation in team meetings when required

  • Ability to lift up to 45lbs

The hourly pay range for this position is $29.75 to $51.15.
