We are seeking a dedicated and bilingual (English and Spanish) HR Manager with a passion for creating an exceptional colleague experience. This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with at least two years of HR experience in a dynamic environment. The HR Manager will manage key HR functions, including onboarding, training and development, payroll, employee engagement, performance management, investigations, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, recognizing and celebrating employee contributions.
Performance Management: Oversee performance appraisal processes, provide guidance to managers, and support employee development plans.
Investigations and Compliance: Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee concerns, ensuring resolution aligns with legal requirements and company policies.
HR Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and regulations, ensuring the resort remains compliant in all HR practices.
Talent Acquisition and Onboarding: Collaborate with hiring managers to recruit and onboard top talent, ensuring a seamless integration into the team.
Training and Development: Identify training needs, organize programs, and promote continuous learning opportunities for employees.
HR Metrics and Reporting: Track and analyze key HR metrics to inform decision-making and enhance organizational effectiveness.
Colleague Housing Management: Oversee and support the management of onsite colleague housing, ensuring a positive living environment for staff.
Staffing and Internship Programs: Help manage various staffing and internship programs to attract and develop talent.
Payroll Management: Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
The Salary for this position is $66,000 – $86,000 per year. This is the pay range for this position at Alila Ventana Big Sur reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors including experience, and education.

Qualifications:
Fluent in English and Spanish
3 years of HR experience, preferably in the hospitality or luxury service industry preferred
A proven ability to manage competing priorities and demonstrate effective time management.
Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for building trust and resolving issues.
Passion for employee engagement and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Experience with HR software and tools is a plus.
Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
