Temporary Financial Reporting Controls Auditor
Basic Purpose and Objective of the Position:
To evaluate the adequacy and effective of the controls over financial reporting activities.
95% 1. Administers validation and testing of Protective’s internal control environment to assist in complying with Sarbanes Oxley 404 and NAIC’s Annual Financial Reporting Model Audit rule.
5% 2. Perform other job duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Experience/Education/Training: Skills essential for this position (i.e. defined as absolutely essential for successful job performance. Is impossible to perform without using these skills. Do not include what can be
learned on the job.)
Pursuit of Bachelor’s or Master degree with a concentration in accounting, finance or business administration.
Completion of Internal Audit coursework is strongly preferred
Insurance industry experience is preferred but not required
Has a strong attention to detail
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize work and adapt when priorities change

This position requires good analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills. The incumbent must have good time management, planning and organizational skills. This position also requires the ability to work both independently with minimal supervision
and as part of a team.
Seasonal position to support critical business need from August through December. Must be available to work a full time Monday- Friday, 8 am -5 pm schedule.
