Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.
The Pharma Enterprise IT Segment is in need of a Senior Engineer/Technical Lead for Pharma Salesforce Sales & Service Cloud instances. The Senior Engineer will work directly with the Salesforce vendor and Cardinal IT teams that interface with Salesforce. The Senior Engineer will also engage other teams when needed to resolve issues, interact regularly with our key clients, build trust and respect. The resource will use tools provided to investigate defects and perform root cause analysis. Will be responsible for holding our partners accountable for providing essential Run support. The Senior Engineer, will focus on the Run & Build responsibilities for the Salesforce Instances which would include defect management, release manager, and maintaining quality standards.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, document Salesforce solutions
Communicate status regarding technical issues, and solutions
Document and analyze Production Bugs, Issues and propose solutions
Perform duties as the Technical Solution Owner for small to large projects
Supervise the configuration, quality assurance, testing, and deployment of Salesforce
Review solutions and recommending improvements
Groom and refine the Salesforce product backlog, in liaison with stakeholders on the project
Own the design of Salesforce and other affiliated solutions for Sales, Service, and platform solutions
Conduct research into clients’ use of Salesforce, producing a report of findings with recommended steps and a roadmap for Salesforce solutions
Collaborate with colleagues and customers to create prototypes and proofs of concept
Evaluates and refractor code base for increased efficiency
Monitors and manages proactive maintenance to application platform environments
Debug, design and fix Production issue and deploy fixes
Ensure documentation of the steps for testing
Qualifications
BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field preferred. Advance Degree preferred
8-12 years experience in related field preferred
10+ years Salesforce application development preferred
Certified Salesforce Administrator
Certified Advanced Developer
Certified Platform App Builder
Extensive experience working with Sales & Service Cloud.
Experience in Salesforce APIs, Apex Triggers and Classes, SOQL
Experience in Salesforce Workflow Rules and Approvals, Visual Flow, Process Builder and Salesforce limitations.
Experience with REST/SOAP APIs (XML, JSON).
User Interface: Salesforce Visual Force, Lightning, jQuery
Familiar with Salesforce Communities
Knowledge of ETL tools (i.e. Dataloader, etc.).
Experience with Agile development processes
Excellent communication skills, written, verbal, and interactive when online

Anticipated salary range: $119,800 - $171,100
