The Role at a Glance

This role will be located in Group Protection Information Management. The Group Protection Business is a part of the Workplace Solutions organization at Lincoln Financial. Group Protection Information Management owns the delivery, strategy and maturation of Group Protections data platform and digital tooling capabilities. The general focus of this role will be to support the data platform from an overall health, risk and state management perspective, as well as own the continued thematic adoption of our digital tooling capabilities to our stakeholder and partners.

What you'll be doing

As an Analyst, Data Steward there are two primary components that you will focus on:

Data Quality & Analytics 50%:

  • First, this role will play an important part in building analysis that will help drive the success of our data platform. This work includes a focus on the development of end-to-end tests, audit control development, and continuous platform monitoring. The product of this work will be to enable Information Management to become more proactive, and less reactive to data issues, operational issues – as well mature our risk and control framework.

Dataiku Product Owner 50%:

  • Secondly, this individual will act as the Product Owner for Dataiku in the Group Protection line of business. This role will be a thought leader and champion for our BI and Data Science technologies, specifically Dataiku. Responsibility would include keeping up to date with new capabilities for existing technologies, finding innovate ways to leverage them to add business value – and helping Information Management maximize our investment in these technologies overall.

What we're looking for

Must-haves:

  • Degree or equivalent work experience in Finance, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a similar field

  • 3+ years of experience in a Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Management, or a Data Analytics role

  • Fluency with SQL, Python, Alteryx, Dataiku, Tableau, AWS, or NoSQL/SQL DBMS.

  • Self-starter, Innovative, Problem Solver

Nice to haves:

  • Professional certifications and/or industry certifications

  • Insurance and/or Financial Services experience
