Role Definition

Provides maintenance, installation, and consulting support for building and infrastructure requirements of a manufacturing facility or site.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing building services and the installation and maintenance of production equipment and building systems.

• Communicating with suppliers' technical support to address equipment or infrastructure disruptions.

• Performing routine-to-complex engineering work potentially on multiple or large facilities.

• Manages planning, execution and control of small to medium scope facilities projects. Provides products and services to clients requirements.

• Monitors environmental, safety and equipment requirements and conditions.

Emergency Management: Knowledge of emergency management tools and techniques in a manufacturing organization; ability to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from an emergency.

• Simulates and tests plant-wide emergencies, facility evacuation and shut-down procedures.

• Plans for and deals with different types of emergencies.

• Participates in vulnerability assessments or worksite analyses.

• Negotiates agreements for stand-by or back-up production facilities, coordinates during emergency.

• Maintains emergency communication network and equipment and role of a communications center.

• Trains others on procedures for accounting for employees after emergency evacuation.

Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing environment.

Level Extensive Experience:

• Evaluates business impact of failure and the criticality and timing of needed resolution.

• Resolves difficult or high-impact equipment and systems problems.

• Monitors machine performance and history; addresses excessive maintenance or repair needs.

• Coaches others how to resolve integration or communications problems in multi-vendor environment.

• Applies specific techniques for isolating a problem and defining resolution approach.

• Uses advanced diagnostic techniques and tools for unusual or performance-related problems.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Facility Planning (facility expansions, cranes, support equipment, space lay out and utilization, etc.)

  • Project Planning and Implementation

  • Analyses of operation processes and expenses

  • Improved preventive maintenance definition for campus, building, and production equipment

  • Analyses and refine operational processes

  • Assist with resource definition and allocation

  • Validate electric and other utility requirements

  • Track and improve energy usage

  • Safety process improvements and implementation

Position will directly support:

  • Vendor and supplier quotes and management

  • Facility project management support

  • Facility access control system expansion for all buildings and equipment (old and new)

  • Crane support, addition, maintenance, and operational readiness

  • Forklift and heavy equipment definition, maintenance, and support

  • Facility expansions (equipment, facility systems, preventative maintenance planning, and engineering support)

  • Building and campus expansion planning and implementation

  • Update and maintain Business Continuity Plan

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering

5 -7 years of related experience in field.

Summary Pay Range:

$108,834.00 - $163,252.00
