Project Overview:

Bechtel is partnering with NextDecade to support their vision to provide the world access to lower carbon intensive energy with their Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas.

RGLNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal situated on a 984-acre site on the banks of the Brownsville ship channel. The first phase of the RGLNG project consists of three liquefaction trains, two storage tanks and one marine berth. At full capacity, the five-train facility will have a production capacity of 27 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).

Job Summary:

In this role, you will support inventory and warehouse process compliance and accuracy. You will review purchase orders, shipping documents, and inspection reports and ensure that discrepancies are recorded, materials are stored properly, and physical inventories are completed. Your work will help ensure inventory is accurate, so a project has enough tools and equipment to meet requirements.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and assists in the physical count and inspection of arriving material

  • Reviews order receiving documentation including commercial invoices

  • Reviews packing lists and bills of lading for completeness and accuracy

  • Reviews material receiving reports for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness

  • Ensures documentation is generated to record unsatisfactory over, short, and damage conditions of material received

  • Disposes of surplus project materials as approved by project management and directed by Field Supply Chain management

  • Reviews preparation of shipping documents and registers for materials shipped from temporary operating and jobsite locations

  • Prepares construction equipment inspection reports for rental equipment

  • Prepares and maintains the construction equipment register

  • Prepares and maintains inventory control records (manual and automated)

  • Works with suppliers to maintain on site Min-Max inventories, consignments, and supplier-maintained facilities

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires a University Hire with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience

Required Job Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience in the specialized area of construction material management.

  • Proficiency in planning, personnel guidance, and knowledge of procedures concerning shipping, receipt, storage, and issue of construction materials and the administration of documentation associated with these actions.

  • Experience and knowledge of the Microsoft office suite, and DSCS or other material management system.

  • Experience in controlling on site Min-Max inventories, consignments, and on-site service contractors.

  • Directs the physical count and inspection of arriving material.

  • Reviews purchase order receiving documentation including commercial invoices. Reviews packing lists and bills of lading for completeness and accuracy.

  • Ensures documentation to record unsatisfactory over, short, and damage conditions of material received.

  • Directs assigned personnel to ensure that material is stored in accordance with the project procurement storage plan and that the location of material in storage is properly recorded on the appropriate storage records (manual or automated).

  • Ensures the accomplishment of physical inventories on a timely basis to ensure valid records are continuously maintained.

  • Maintains custody of all project materials.

  • Directs assigned personnel to ensure that issues are properly controlled and documented in accordance with project procedures.

  • Disposes of surplus project materials as approved by project management and directed by Field Procurement management.

  • Reviews preparation of shipping documents and registers for materials shipped from temporary operating and jobsite locations.

  • Ensures that control registers are prepared and maintained for industrial gas bottles and returnable reels and containers.

  • Prepares construction equipment inspection reports for rental equipment.

  • Ensures the preparation and maintenance of the construction equipment register.

  • Prepares and maintains inventory control records (manual and automated).

  • Works with vendors to maintain on site Min-Max inventories, consignments, and vendor maintained facilities.

  • Extensive knowledge of construction materials, tools, equipment, and parts.

  • Experience in receiving documentation paperwork requirements.

  • Computer skills, Microsoft office suite, Bechtel Procurement System or other materials management system.

  • Working knowledge of material storage and handling equipment.

  • Knowledge and understanding of field purchasing functions.

  • Experience in rental agreements containing variable rates, operated and maintained equipment, unoperated equipment, and administration.

  • Experience in work packaging materials for construction planning.
