Reliability and Continuous Improvement Engineer

DuPont Yerkes site is looking for someone to lead the tactical Operational Excellence continuous improvement projects for Tedlar. The two key focus areas are reliability programs and critical spares.

Engineering Group :

Performs engineering/ continuous improvement work in operations, production, and maintenance environments. Designs and scales manufacturing processes, instruments and equipment and tests manufactured products to maintain quality and operational efficiency improvements. Plans, designs and estimates time and costs; including but not limited to reductions and value-added savings. Analyzes and develops solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems or the causes of component failures. Develops and applies engineering standards and procedures and provides advice on issues within the operational excellence framework

Reliability Engineering:

Directs and coordinates the PM strategy, reliability, tactical application for maintenance and repair of mechanical or electromechanical machines, equipment, tools, and systems. Evaluates mechanical processes to determine their cost effectiveness and efficiency. May evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions (MTBF).

General:

Professional with working knowledge and experience within own discipline and developing understanding of related disciplines, completing specialized tasks under moderate supervision.

• Requires experience and knowledge in own job discipline and basic understanding of related job disciplines gained through on the job experience or advanced education.

• Continues to build knowledge about the organization, processes and customers.

• May provide informal guidance to newer team members.

• Has regular, moderate impact on own work team.

• Builds the ability to influence others.

• Applies existing guidelines and policies under a moderate level of guidance and direction.

• Analyzes information and standard practices to make judgments about resolving problems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering required

  • 2-5 years manufacturing experience (or equivalent) desired

  • Green belt or equivalent desired

The Pay range for this role is $75,600.00 - $118,800.00 Annual
