Laboratory Corporation of America Senior Oncology Product Manager in Burlington, North Carolina

LabCorp is seeking a Senior Oncology Product Manager for our Enterprise. We are open on candidate location.

  • Responsible for researching and uncovering the unmet needs of customers through various methods that may include VOC surveys, KOL interviews, advisory boards. This includes partnering with other cross-functional SMEs and the market insights team. this position is flexible with location.

  • Utilizes best marketing practices to complete a comprehensive business case for proposed new testing and services (portfolio and product life cycle management, marketing strategy, customer segmentation and targeting, reimbursement analysis, financial modeling, risk management, value proposition development, brand messaging, etc.).

  • Builds and executes a robust product launch plan , including: value proposition, segmentation/targeting, messaging, selling tools, operations sales training modules timelines and metrics

  • Routinely collects and reviews key metrics, customer feedback, industry trends, competitive offerings, guidelines, and relevant journal publications.

  • Possesses the ability to translate complex scientific and medical publications into clear messaging and positioning through an omni-channel approach.

  • Develops content and manages approvals required for marketing collateral and sales training materials.

  • Builds programs and initiatives that improve customer experience and strengthens retention of customer base.

  • Engages and travels with field sales representatives to understand the current selling environment, competitive products, and customer needs.

  • Manages activities related to the development and execution of the strategic and tactical marketing plans.

  • Tracks business initiatives, forecasts performance of assigned product and advises senior leadership about relevant strategic actions.

  • Deeply understands the product workflow and technical details from a customer perspective.

  • Collaborates with colleagues across the enterprise to execute strategic initiatives; collaborates with subject matter experts and leaders in drug development to gather insights which feed the product roadmap.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree in clinical or life sciences preferred.

  • Understanding of the precision medicine and/or the oncology space preferred.

  • Previous experience working for a drug development and/or diagnostics company.

  • 6+ years combined healthcare experience in sales, marketing, training or other leadership roles with at least several years in marketing with product management responsibilities.

  • Proven ability to analyze complex business problems and conceptualize work streams with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to negotiate and influence across functions to drive results.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint software knowledge required.

  • Drive for Results-- Ensures procedures and processes are in place that lead to the delivery of quality results and routinely evaluates their effectiveness to achieve continuous improvement.

  • Communications -- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Willingness to share and receive information and ideas from all levels of the organization in order to achieve the desired results.
