Job Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for filling the role of financial analyst, supporting various programs and miscellaneous task order awards. Prepares weekly and monthly financial reports that are delivered to the customer; pulls weekly GL reports from COGNOS and reconciles that data, preparing and submitting adjusting entries as required when errors are discovered; enters TDLs and task revisions in local financial system, routing them to the customer for approval; enters employees in the workforce and generates work authorization memos; prepares project setup forms so the project setup team can enter new charge numbers; tracks and processes contract deliverables. Performs other related duties as assigned.

This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in St. Mary's County, near to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. This position is subject to a hybrid work schedule. It is primarily remote, however the candidate must be within commuting distance to attend meetings and trainings as needed in the local California, MD office.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field (Leveling will depend on related experience)

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to obtain / maintain the required security clearance

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Experience with CostPoint

Familiarity with various financial reports such as Contract Financial Summaries/Project Status Reports, General Ledger reports, and Estimates to Complete

Familiarity with financial/accounting software/databases

Some experience with government contracts/finance
