HIM Technician - FT day shifts
As a Health Information Management (HIM) Technician at Adventist Health St. Helena, you will evaluate patient records ensuring all proper documentation is captured. You will prepare medical records for scanning efficiency according to established procedures, guidelines, and productivity standards; retrieve and file old paper records required for patient care; and assist with release of information services adhering to regulations. You will also document activities and results in designated systems; analyze and identify record deficiencies and merge duplicate medical record numbers. You will frequently communicate with both internal and external clients so your communication skills need to be above average, and you will need to be able to be calm in emotional situations.

High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of customer service, retail, call center or hospitality work experience
Associate’s or Technical degree
At least one year of in-patient HIM experience
At least one year medical terminology experience
Must be able to work full-time day shifts, 8:30am to 5:00pm and/or 8:00am to 4:30pm including weekends and holidays
Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed per local regulations
Must currently reside in or around the St. Helena, California area
