Lockheed Martin Software Engineer, C/C++, 2+ Years in Cape Canaveral, Florida
Description: Join Our Team as a Software Engineer on the Missile Systems Engineering and Integration Team.
Location: This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility at one of the Coolest places to work: Cape Canaveral FL and be expected to work in the office.

What does this role look like?
Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a software engineer to support special test equipment in the EGSE organization.
Key activities you will accomplish in this role:
• Troubleshoot, update software baselines
• Utilize virtual machines for debugging and troubleshooting purposes, working in a dynamic team environment.
• Occasional travel required to support various test equipment at other company and vendor sites. Must be a US Citizen.
To be effective in this role, you will need:
• Prior development experience using C/C++.
• 2+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's; or 0+ years of professional experience with a Master's degree.
• While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance , thus US Citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Software development experience using C/C++.
• Experience using Windows and Linux platforms.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with Agile and DevOps processes and culture (inclusive of Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence)
• Experience with remote virtual machine or containerized build environments
• Familiarity with Santa Cruz Operating System
• Experience using NI Tools including TestStand and LabVIEW
• Ability to work in a dynamic team environment, and bolster team culture based on your active team participation.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
