Global S&OP, Demand and Orders Management (within the Strategic Procurement & Planning Division) currently has an opening for an Engagement Manager (EM) in North America. The EM is accountable for serving clients by developing solutions to their Price List & Compatibility problems using LEAN methodology. Clients are defined as product groups (engineering, commercial, NPI teams), manufacturing (orders & scheduling), dealers (inventory managers, sales department) and GCI (marketing orgs). This role is specific to order management for machines and work tools.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients in North America, primary focus on BCP machines/work tools
Develop relationships with clients; develop thorough understanding of problems; identify root cause(s) and propose solutions
Lead improvement projects that drive value to the business and improve OPACC
Approve price list change notices (PLCNs) for ADSD-N
Develop, maintain standard work & best practices; ensure alignment (governance)
Drive change aligned with the Modern Order Management (MOM) strategy
Participate/lead initiatives related to Sales Configuration Management (SCM)
Collaborate with other Engagement Managers across regions (ADSD-S, EAME, APD)
Provide strategic direction; coordinate NPI activities with the price list & compatibility execution team
Develop quality measures and ensure actionable results
4-year college/university technical or business degree; or minimum 10 years job related experience
5+ years of experience in product or industry groups including roles in product engineering,
NPI execution, machine marketing/pricing, and/or product support.
Top Candidates will also have
BCP product knowledge; CI/RI product knowledge
Dealer, commercial support and/or marketing experience
Company knowledge and/or experience in multiple functional areas
Knowledge of order management processes
Ability to think strategically and translate data insights into executable actions
Ability to drive results through direct and indirect influence
Demonstrated coaching capability
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
The location for this position is open to any US Caterpillar facility.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Any relocation costs incurred would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
This position will require less than 10% travel.
