Caterpillar’s Building Construction Products division has an exciting position open as Senior Manager supporting the Core products – backhoe loaders, telehandlers, small wheel loaders, and small track type tractors. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Core product strategy, influencing and recommending the right business decisions, and managing the overall business financial performance and growth. This position interacts with and presents to division senior leadership, including the Product Management Vice President and respective team, the Division CFO, as well as the many internal customers within Caterpillar.

What you will do:

• Manage all aspects of accountable analysis, insights and reporting of financial results of the business on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis for the BCP Core products.

• Support the BCP Core product strategy planning, that includes the long-term strategic development and short-term tactical planning to ensure growth and financial success for the business.

• Guide the BCP Core product analysis, providing business insights in the processes like target costs; cost monitoring; new product introduction analysis; total cost of ownership analysis; investment analysis.

• Provide business analysis support by establishing target costs, cost monitoring, value chain analysis, investment analysis, sourcing analysis, product costing and supporting worldwide new product introduction projects for BCP Core products.

• Effectively lead, influence, and interact with a global and diverse team. Focused on talent development, succession planning, performance management, and target setting.

• Support Caterpillar Global Finance Strategy through transformation of our processes and automation to help generate business insights.

• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Makes sound business decisions on behalf of the group when faced with complex and contradictory alternatives.

• Finance and Accounting: Knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, and reporting; ability to apply finance knowledge appropriately to diverse situations. Coaches others in the use of financial management practices and tools. Designs financial analysis approaches and modeling specific to the business. Reviews key financial and performance indicators used by the corporation.

• Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material. Adapts financial analysis methods to support organizational goals.

• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

• Bachelor's degree in an Accounting or Finance related discipline

• Progressive Accounting or Finance experience, including cost accounting and budget development

• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and executive presence with the ability to collaborate and partner across peers and leadership

• Initiative, leadership, good judgement, effective organization skills, and accountability

• Ability to resolve issues independently and with worldwide / diverse teams.

• Ability to take an Enterprise point of view and lead with our Values in Action.

Summary Pay Range:

$156,000.00 - $234,000.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
