Kellogg Truck Driver (Union) - Manufacturing in Cary, North Carolina
As a Truck Yard Jockey/Forklift Operator in Cary, NC, you’ll use your top-notch warehouse and distribution skills to manage the warehouse. Working as a fundamental member of the Logistics team, you will be a key partner to Operations, Quality Food Safety and Environmental Health and Safety personnel. HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Making things Happen – You will engage in various responsibilities, such as:
Moving trailers to pre-determined locations in a timely/safe manner
Loading and unloading trailer
Performing basic checks of system operating functions of trailers
Opening/closing trailer doors, hooking/unhooking airline hoses, and placing/removing trailer wheel chocks
Performing physical pallet movements of finished good pallets, raw, recycled, and packaging materials
Ensuring pallets and other packaging materials are available and loaded into machines
Documenting pallet transactions through warehouse inventory systems
Gathering data, accurately documenting inventory, and completing production-related reports
Setting the Pace - Working in a fast-paced, team-oriented atmosphere to increase efficiencies. Working closely with the Operations Shift Supervisor, Quality Food Safety and Environmental Health & Safety personnel.
Always Accountable - Maintaining a strong safety focus while looking out for the well-being of fellow co-workers. Delivering exceptional customer service by effective communication between co-workers and management
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
Experience working in a Yard moving trailers
Ability to meet all of our identified driving requirements; e.g. moving trailers
Must have a valid CDL-A
Previous Warehouse/Forklift Operator experience
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to use basic math and interpret schedules, charts, diagrams, and reports
Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work a rotational shift pattern, including some night shifts
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Comfortable working in a progressive manufacturing environment
Previous experience with a WMS
Ability to operate pallet jacks and powered industrial jacks (electrical Jacks)
Ability to work in a team environment
